let's try this again.

okay. there's been a lot going on lately and i feel like i just need to simplify. i've been exhausted and busy and wedding-ing left and right... not to mention the rain that's been plaguing the seacoast for the past month(ish) straight. it's been kind of totally overwhelming (in both the good ways and the bad). enough about that! let's look at some yummy wedding stuff.

scored these gorgeous earrings at tjmaxx last night. they're kind of perfect for wedding day - so they will be put away safe & sound until the time comes! rose gold & crystal... super dreamy. i was worried that because they're well-made and sturdy they'd be a bit heavy (my ears are pierced low and i have serious wearability issues with big earrings) but they feel great!

wedding dress sneak peek! ugh i love it so much i just want to sleep in it. it's unreal! just about the dreamiest dress i could think up.

another diy project i'm currently undertaking... trying to figure out how to make my own sash for my dress. there's definitely one at a local bridal shop that i have my eye on but i'm not super into spending $600 on a belt, if you catch my drift. i mean... let's be honest, if i had the cash i would spend it... but the dreamboat and i are on a budget and we need to save as much as possible for the good stuff (our friends are pretty boozey, you know).

hi, loves! yesterday the dream and i went down to boston to buy ourselves some nice duds for our friends paul & amanda's wedding in a couple of weeks! the dream owns a lot of separates in terms of fancywear but he doesn't actually own a really nice suit. so! we wandered around newbury street and i found myself a nice little dress, too... this is how i'm planning on styling it (with dramatic, '60s-style cat-eye liner, big lashes, bright red lips & the usual topknot). enjoy!

hello my sweets! i am currently getting ready to go on a fabulous lady date with my favorite gals from work... just did my nails, now doing hair & makeup (and of course deciding what to wear)! i wanted to post today's dreamy outfit in honor of my beautiful friend sof. she's been near and dear to my heart since my marriage began to dissolve and was such a strong support for me during that very difficult time. so when she asked me to help style her an outift for her brother's wedding i was obviously thrilled to be able to do it! here's what she wrote:

bridesmaid hangout & wine tasting!

hello, loves! sorry for the blip in space over the past few days but i was so wrapped up in my lovely alex visiting! we wandered around and went thrifting and ate yummy food and had so much fun and it was so much fun to see her! i'm sad she had to go, but i am so grateful for the time we got to spend together.

last night after alex left i headed over to isis' house to hang out with her bridal party & taste a couple of the possible wines that they'll have at the wedding! lona brought a delicious baguette, three different types of cheese, yummy olives (which i only very recently discovered my love for) and gourmet cookies. amelia made toasted bruschetta topped with garlic, goat cheese, cucumber, salt and pepper - yummmmm!

the real treat of the evening was seeing isis in her wedding dress. she looked so beautiful! here are a couple of photos of the food and wine spread (before we dug in). enjoy!

hello, dreamy dreamers! my friend casey recently asked me to help her style an anthropologie dress that she bought to wear to a friend's wedding next month. i love love love the dress and it was so easy to find great pieces to pair it with! i'm not sure if she'll end up taking any or all of my advice, but i had fun doing it just the same. enjoy!

i asked casey when & where the wedding is going to be held so i could get an idea of what kinds of accessories would be appropriate. for instance, a daytime wedding that's relatively casual (as she described) calls for totally different accessories than a more formal, evening wedding would. i opted for bright nail colors (always super fun) to pull from the tones of the dress, a cropped cardigan in case the reception gets chilly and left the rest of the accessories neutral and fun. i figure if you're young and adorable you should flaunt it! how would you have accessorised this dress?

bachelorette party delight!

hello dreamy babies! the bachelorette party was so much fun... we took care of business and bought our bridesmaid dresses, did some relaxing, ate some delicious food and threw down some serious moves on the dance floor. here are some snapshots... sorry there aren't more but i was too busy enjoying the company of some lovely ladies to take photos every five minutes, so these few will have to do. enjoy!
